JOSM Preset: Christian Heritage of Ukraine

A JOSM preset for mapping Christian places of worship in Ukraine on OpenStreetMap. It handles the denominational detail specific to the region and extends to sacred areas and smaller wayside objects that generic presets tend to overlook.

What it covers

• Denominations — presets for the main Christian denominations in Ukraine: Orthodox (with PCU and UOC-MP tagging), Greek Catholic (UGCC), Roman Catholic, and Protestant (Baptist, Pentecostal, Adventist, Lutheran, and others).
• Sacred areas — dedicated presets for church land and monastery land, the latter with community gender selection.
• Smaller objects — chapels, wayside crosses, and wayside shrines.
• Structured schemas — address, contact information, and opening hours.
• Bilingual interface — Ukrainian and English.
• Offline stability — standardised built-in JOSM icons.

Using it

The preset can be added in JOSM under Preferences → Map Settings → Presets, either as a downloaded file or directly by URL.
