Maps for the Odesa Cultural Development Strategy 2025–2035

A series of thematic maps for the Odesa Cultural Development Strategy 2025–2035 — a strategic framework document defining the city’s cultural policies for the next decade. The strategy is the final component of the project “Support for the Implementation of the Odesa Cultural Development Strategy” and is aimed at the sustainable development of Odesa as a cultural centre despite the challenges of war.

The cartographic work covered two stages: preparing base maps and processing source data — geocoding and attribute structuring — for visualization. The series includes maps of administrative-territorial development, cultural objects by category and type, museums and exhibition centres by form of ownership, and the international partnerships and connections of Odesa.

The strategy was developed by the NGO Zatsikavleni, commissioned by the Department of Culture, International Cooperation and European Integration of the Odesa City Council. The project “Support for the Implementation of the Odesa Cultural Development Strategy” was carried out in 2023–2024 by the NGO Pixelated Realities and funded by the European Union under the EU4Culture programme, implemented by the Goethe-Institut in partnership with the Danish Cultural Institute, Czech Centres, and the French Institute in Georgia.
