My fifth season. By now the #30DayMapChallenge had outgrown its origins on Twitter and spread across social platforms, with much of the community moving to Mastodon as well.

The routine stayed the same — thirty themes, thirty maps, all about Ukraine — but the search for new angles got more interesting each year: themes I hadn’t touched yet, fresh datasets, and styles I hadn’t tried before.
